The Amazing Spider Man 2
America’s thirst for superheroes continues to provide enough content for the movie industry. People have developed a fondness and fascination for their favorite superheroes. The Amazing Spider Man 2 follows the adventures of Peter Parker as Spiderman. Parker continues to face different challenges in life. He has to keep his identity hidden while at the same time try to enjoy a normal life. The movie differs from other Spiderman movies in that the superhero has to fight different villains. In addition, it intensifies the human relationships between different characters. Parker and Stacey face different hurdles in their relationship and they have to find ways of overcoming them. Parker deals with the challenges and uncertainties of being an orphan. The Amazing Spider Man 2 shows how people work towards their own destruction and focuses on relationships, which makes it possible for the viewers to relate with the superhero character
Despite the superhero status, the movie reminds the viewers that Parker is an ordinary person dealing with different emotional and psychological problems. He cannot use his superpower abilities to solve all his problems. Like all humans, he has to endure the pain and suffering of loss and betrayal in his life. The movie intensifies emotional and human elements between different characters, through their relationships with their friends and families. Stacy and Parker have obvious chemistry between them. They have fun and exciting moments when they are together. However, they do encounter challenges, which put their relationships at a great risk (Brooks 1). This shows the personal sacrifices that a superhero has to make for the sake of other people’s happiness and safety. In addition, Parker has to risk his life endless time so that he can save the people from destruction. The human element in the movie is enhanced further by the use of humor. Although the movie is filled with villains, the directors have found a way to incorporate humor in it. This mirrors the realities of life. It shows that although people do face serious situations in their lives, there are days when they enjoy some light moments and this transforms them in different ways.
The movie continues to highlight the use of evil genius. Smart people use their intelligence and resources to hurt others. They look for ways of being in control through other people. This is the case in Oscorp Industries. It releases genetic experiments that end up being the villains in the movie (Lodge 1). Parker has to find a way of eliminating Rhino, Goblin, and Electro, who are intent on causing as much damage as possible. Many resources are spent towards creating the evil characters that end up destroying people’s lives. However, people’s salvation comes from a simple person, whose only source of power came naturally after he was bitten by a spider. This contrast highlights the fact that people are their own cause of destruction. It is interesting to note that some of the villains the film do not choose their evil nature. This character is created within them by the situations they face. Electro is one of the villains in the movie. However, he is not all evil in the beginning. He is delighted when Spiderman asks him for help (Schaefer 1).
The Amazing Spiderman 2 is worth watching. It is full of action and emotionalism. It has also incorporated humor, which makes the viewing a delightful experience. The characters show an amazing display of talent and this keeps the action moving. The movie focuses on different human elements, which are depicted in the way the characters relate to each other. The viewer will connect to the superhero because he cannot solve some of the challenges he faces by using his supernatural abilities. The movie shows that people are their own form of destruction. They continue to innovate and develop technologies that will lead to their destruction. While some people want to be in control, they can only depend on other people’s abilities to realize their goals.
