Answer the Question
Nietzsche’s philosophy has developed over a long period. He is famous for his inability to find a relation between various aspects of life such as morality, religion and philosophies. In his analysis, he shows that he intends to seek a place that is beyond both good and bad by realizing two things. One is that life is terrible, tragic, and second, is that the superior person has all the power and the opportunity to say “yes to life” because ther are no factors creating resistance and causing any form of denial. Due to this reasoning, he claims that his philosophy which identifies and cuts out all the limiting factors is the reasoning he has a developed a “yes to life” atmosphere.
Nietzsche shows that there are certain aspects in life that are a “no to life” or rather are bad when distinguishing between the good and evil. His analysis is in reference to the philosophy that is created by both religion and morality. Under morality, he evaluates the relationship between a master and a slave. He insists that the traits of the master that involve the use of power and other agendas that satisfy physical needs are evil. In relation to the slaves however, their overall characteristics that comprise of meekness, chastity, humility and poverty are glorified. He is of the opinion that in life, there are scenarios that depict the master- slave relationship including the debtor-creditor aspect. The main reason for this resentment as he indicates is the relationship between the lower classes and lower ones.
According to Nietzsche, the Christian religion brings about great resentment to the lives of those that practice it because it tends to have life-denying aspects. This is mostly in reference to the sin associated with sexuality, the fear that cripples the ability of people to explore and have curiosity and the shaming of pride in oneself encouraging self-pity. Generally, he questions the Christian belief on an afterlife especially in reference to the devaluing of the current life only to give so much credit to another. In the Islamic faith, it is possible that the rigidity of the faith in many aspects of life will also lie in this context if analyzed by Nietzsche. This is because Muslims are discouraged from committing certain acts making them examples of a group that says “no to life”.
