The world has become a rather cold place especially as people advance deeper towards interactions and relationships influenced by social and networking relations. In fact, if one were to peruse through media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, most people are more inclined to disrespect one another by discarding, abusing, or responding to messages or pictures with ignorance and scathing vilification. Even though it is arguable that the incidents that take place across social media are minor, such events are actually a reflection of the society and the coldness it possesses. Nonetheless, not all hope is lost; after all, from a personal perspective, it is possible to impose a positive impact on the community and therefore assert an overreaching difference across all peoples irrespective of disparities. In respect to the Good Counsel community, there are certain actions that I can implement as a good loving person. One of the major things that I can apply in relation to the community involves the creation of a youth council. As evidenced, the youth are consistently at risk due to diverse influences that permeate from the online community such as drugs, alcohol, negative peer pressure, and gang-related crime. As such, the establishment of a youth-oriented group will be inclined towards the provision of a safe, secure, and creative space for the young persons of the Good Counsel community. The implementation of a youth council will result in the implementation of services that generally comprise recreational and artistic gathering settings and occupational services. Additionally, the mission of opening the youth center would be to encourage the young people that occupy the Good Counsel community to become responsible and integral members of the community. However, for this to happen, it will be imperative to involve the entire community, especially parents, teachers, and leaders, into the respective project.
